Calculate your Moon Sign
To calculate you personal moon sign you need to know the year of your birth, the date of your birth, the hour of your birth and the location of your birth.
Remember that many countries have daylight saving during summer and this will need to be accounted for.
To calculate the Moon's position in the sky at the precise moment you were born you need a lookup table. The sky is divided into 12 equal sectors of 30 degrees each. Each sector corresponds with one of the signs of the zodiac: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius or Pisces.
The Moon moves approximately 1 degree every two hours so most tables give you a location for midnight and ask you to add or subtract degrees according to the hour of your birth.
